Philips is a world leader in digital pathology and looking to increase adoption in Australia and New Zealand.
Digital pathology technology has the capacity to significantly reduce turnaround times for serious disease diagnosis, especially for rural or remote patients.
It also paves the way for a further revolution in the sector – computational pathology – using AI for more efficient triaging of potential cancer diagnoses.
One of the early adopters in this country has been Brisbane-based Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology.
London Agency authored a white paper outlining the potential benefits of the technology and describing the business case that laboratories would consider prior to adopting digital pathology solutions. The white paper includes a suite of photography showcasing how the platform could be utilised in a laboratory setting and reflecting the localised Australian experience.
Subsequently, London Agency has recently completed a similar project showcasing how one of the leading laboratories in India has benefitted from deploying digital pathology.
