Who can give a testimonial in your healthcare advertisement?

The TGA Code of Advertising means that people from certain industries and professions are not allowed to provide testimonials on pharmaceutical products, medical devices and other healthcare goods in advertisements destined for consumers and patients.

The TGA may consider even communications on healthcare products to be an advertisement, even when this was not the original intent of the communication. A testimonial can be defined as a positive report on a product written by a customer.

This infographic will provide a quick revision of TGA regulations, making sure your next healthcare ad is compliant.
